In Defense of Africa

Michael B. Olatunji (1927-2003) left Nigeria to study diplomacy at Morehouse College in Atlanta. He then pursued a postgraduate program in Public Administration at New York University. He was elected President of the All African Students Union of the Americas in 1958, and founded a dance and drumming group. Politically active in decolonization issues, he became world famous as drummer Babatunde Olatunji.
