Directions: Assess students’ editorials on a five-point scale, which can be multiplied by 20 to convert to a letter grade, according to the rubric below.

Rating Scale: 1 to 5, 1=very weak, 2=weak, 3=okay, 4=very good, 5=super

1	Knowledge of the issue is shown by facts and information used
2	The main idea is clearly stated
