Native-born Africans

In addition to the first generation of immigrants, Africans also count a large number of children born in the United States. About 1.7 million people now claim a sub-Saharan African ancestry. This baby was born in New York of Ghanaian parents. Its father was killed in the attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
