Ghanaian Expatriates

According to the 2000 census, Ghanaians are the second largest African nationality in the United States. A quarter of them reside in New York. New Jersey is home to 11 percent, Maryland to 10 percent, and Virginia to 9 percent. Here, Ghanaian survivors of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, gather a year later to commemorate the memory of their compatriots who died in the collapse of the towers.
