Yoruba Society

There are few African ethnic associations in the United States, as people tend to regroup according to country, region, religion, and profession. Nonetheless, cultural associations are often based on ethnicity, as each group possesses its own distinct culture, language, and traditions. In this photograph, the Yoruba Society is celebrating the opening of its new chapter on Long Island, New York.
